A gutter bracket is the bracket or hanger by which a hanging gutter is fixed and carried at the eaves. The brackets determine the position, strength and fall of the gutter.

Application

Gutter brackets are fitted at regular spacing (usually 50–100 cm) along the eaves, to the fascia board, wall plate or rafters. Functions and points of attention:

For zinc and copper gutters, metal brackets are used that are sometimes recessed into the eaves. The spacing matters: too far apart and the gutter will sag or deform. A correctly fitted gutter bracket prevents fall problems and overflowing gutters.
