# What is Canexel?
**Canexel is a composite cladding material made from compressed wood fibres bound with synthetic resin.** It was developed as a durable and low-maintenance alternative to traditional timber cladding. Canexel combines the natural appearance of wood with the longevity of a composite product.
## Properties
– **Wood-grain look** — the surface mimics natural timber
– **Factory-finished** — available in a range of colours with a durable coating
– **Moisture-resistant** — less susceptible to moisture than solid timber
– **Dimensionally stable** — shrinks and swells less than wood

## Application
Canexel is widely used for:
