The rebate dimension is the measurement of the opening in a window or door frame into which the glass, panel or door fits — measured on the inside of the rebate (the step cut into the frame). It is the measurement you need to order glass or a door panel.
Rebate
The rebate is the L-shaped step cut around the inside of the frame. The glass or panel sits in this step and is held in place on the inside by glazing beads.

How to measure the rebate dimension
1. Measure the width from rebate to rebate (left to right)
2. Measure the height from rebate to rebate (top to bottom)
3. Measure at several points — the smallest measurement counts
The glass dimension = rebate dimension minus 4-6 mm (2-3 mm clearance per side).
