- The fascia board must be fixed level and straight to ensure proper gutter fall
- A ventilation strip or soffit vent above the fascia allows airflow into the roof space
- When replacing a fascia board, it is good practice to inspect and replace the soffit board at the same time
- Timber fascia boards should be primed on all sides before installation to prevent moisture absorption
