A facade anchor screw is a screw-type anchor used to fix facade cladding or the outer leaf of a wall securely to the load-bearing backing structure behind it.
The outer skin of a facade, whether a brick outer leaf or a cladding system, must be tied back to the structure so that it cannot move, bulge or fall away under wind load and its own weight. The facade anchor screw provides this connection by screwing into or through the backing wall and holding the outer layer in place.
How it works
- The screw anchor is driven into the load-bearing backing structure.
